Wild Goose Flower Farm

In 2020, my slightly pregnant self was walking down the sidewalk one fine pandemic day when a small child clad only in a diaper burst out a front door and ran to their beloved grandparents. 

I was amused and delighted.

A slightly less amused and delighted mother came following after.

I thought out loud, "This is the kind of mom I want to be friends with."

She laughed and said, "Really?" We chatted for a few minutes and exchanged facebook details with Alexis Rehbaum.

After 2 years I'm happy to say we are no longer neighbors, because they have moved to their dream home in Monck's Corner and started a You-Pick flower farm!

I've been following along with her exciting dream to surround herself with flowers. She has successfully created her own magical oasis of flowers.

It seems only fitting that we met because of a diaper dressed child, only to be reunited with my own shorts and a hat only child. (She immediately stuck her hands elbow deep in a bucket of rain water and drenched herself.)

Luckily we picked a beautiful sunny day for flower picking. 

It was wonderful to have my toddler welcomed with open arms into the garden even though she can be a touch destructive making "flower confetti" as Alexis lovingly called it. I called it "No, ma'am!"

We were lucky enough to check out the flower farm opening week! I loved having Alexis help me design my own bouquet to take home. Check it out and book your own flower picking session!

I'm thrilled that this new flower farm is only 12 minutes from my house! But be sure to use the Waze app to find it. Google needs to get its act together and get Wild Goose Flower Farm on all the maps!
